The Unholy Consult is the third and final novel in the Aspect-Emperor trilogy and the sixth in The Second Apocalypse series.

R. Scott Bakker finished the final manuscript and delivered it to his publishers in January of 2015. No publication date has been announced, but the book is expected to be published in 2016.[1]

R. Scott Bakker has also said that, due to the manuscript’s length, the novel might be split into two books, in which case the first volume would be called The Great Ordeal and the second The Unholy Consult.[2]
